The Holiday tourney hosted at Indoor Indy Sports was very kind to the Golden Eagles in 2009.  Both the JV and Varsity Clubs played very well and produced their first championships of the 2009-10 season.  Korey Brown and Tim Gannon led the JV in scoring.  At the varsity level Luke Wesseling recorded a double double, Taylor Lehman led the team in scoring and Josh Smallwood led the team in rebounds during the tournament. 

12/12/09

The border battle weekend with Michigan was a terrific day of basketball for the Golden Eagles.  3 wins on the day including a big win over St. Johns Warriors.  Luke Wesseling led the Eagles in scoring with a 23 point average.  Luke concluded the day by scoring his 1000th varsity point.  Congratulations on this terrific milestone.  Luke and Taylor Lehman had double/doubles in the game against WACHE. 

2/13/10

The JV won their 2nd straight State Championship with three decisive wins.  This is the fifth year in a row that the JV has been in the championship game and has won 4 of 5.  Great job.  The JV also won the Heartland conference this year for the second year in a row.

2/18/10

The JV lost a heartbreaker to New Creation Prep School in the Indianapolis Regional Tournament.  Down by as many as 16 to a team with more experience the team fought back and went ahead in the later part of the 4th quarter only to end up on the short end when time expired.  Tim Gannon and Jordan Dawson keyed the come back scoring 13 and 8 points in the second half. 

2/19/10

Tim Gannon put on a tremendous display of shooting against Lakeshore going 7 for 7 with 6 three pointers as the JV won by nearly 30 points.
